Pi Ware started his film and television career in Madrid, where he worked as a PA, camera assistant, and sound mixer on various Spanish language films. After moving to Los Angeles, Pi partnered with Susan Kraker to write and direct several independent films and online series. Pi and Susan’s films have appeared at over 75 film festivals around the world, including Sundance and Cannes, and they have aired on such networks as the Sundance Channel, PBS and Movieola. Their critically acclaimed debut feature, SOLITUDE, was purchased and distributed theatrically by Indican Pictures.
In recent years Pi has focused on the craft of editing, for which he has received 4 Emmy nominations and an Emmy award. His clients include NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, Warner Bros, Universal, Disney, Fox Searchlight, ESPN, IFC, TBS, TNT, OWN, TruTV, Comedy Central, Spike, Univisión, and Mundo Fox. From American Idol to theatrical movies to award-winning documentaries to Spanish language game shows, Pi is known for his extreme versatility and story-focused editing style.
He is a founding member of the Filmmakers Alliance independent film collective and a former board member of the International Documentary Association, where he produced the annual celebration of documentary film excellence, the IDA Awards.
Pi has recently finished directing the feature-length documentary SKIN DEEP: THE BATTLE OVER MORGELLONS. Skin Deep dives into the controversy surrounding Morgellons disease, an affliction the medical industry has repeatedly dismissed as “all in the patients’ heads”. As scientific evidence linking Morgellons to Lyme disease mounts, the question arises… “Who is delusional—the patients who believe or the doctors who deny?”
