Mold Illness from a Clinical Systems Biology Perspective

Keith Berndtson, MDs 32-year medical career spans primary care, integrative and functional medicine, and the care of medically unexplained medical conditions. In 2007 he founded Park Ridge MultiMed, a systems medicine practice in Park Ridge, Illinois. In July of 2017 he joined Haven Medical in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to help develop their strengths in patient care, education, and research regarding multisystem forms of chronic illness.

His peer-reviewed article, Review of evidence for immune evasion and persistent infection in Lyme disease (International Journal of General Medicine 2013;6:291-306) achieved a high social media score (Altmetric), reaching an upper bound of over 10,000 followers. He has international experience as a speaker on CIRS, Lyme, and related conditions. He recently co-founded the non-profit International Society of Environmentally Acquired Illnesses (ISEAI) to serve public and professional needs for increased awareness, education, and support in the evaluation and management of complex forms of chronic illness.
