The Morgellons Enigma: Embracing the Treatment of This Complex and Overlooked Illness

Ginger Savely, DNP, APRN is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University where she was honored with the Dean’s Legacy Award for her research on Morgellons disease. She is considered one of the top experts in the United States on the diagnosis and treatment of vector-borne infections and is the world’s leading clinical expert on Morgellons disease.

Dr. Savely has treated almost 12,000 Lyme and co-infection patients since the year 2000 and about 1,000 Morgellons disease patients since 2003. She was the first health care provider in the world to advocate for Morgellons disease and to assert that the disease was not psychiatric but infectious in nature. Her book, Morgellons: The Legitimization of a Disease, was released in November 2016 and is the first and only scientific book on this topic.

Dr. Savely has given presentations in Europe, Canada, and all over the US on her topic of expertise. She advises health care providers around the world who seek her help in diagnosing and treating Morgellons disease.
